Historically, presidential politics is a game of who can raise the most money from traditional political donors. To a large degree, this is still the case, but there is a changing tide in the flow of money to political campaigns causing many in the political “establishment” to fear that their hold on controlling the money flow to candidates is threatened. We say, “It’s about time.”
Small donations from ordinary citizens are beginning to shift political power away from large donors. The average donation to Western Representation PAC is only $36, but with thousands of individuals pooling their hard-earned money, we have made a difference in key races across the country. By not being beholden to the agenda of a small group of special interests, we have become the voice of the people and politicians are forced to take notice.
Presidential straw polls tend not to be all that indicative of how an election will turn out, but the Florida “Presidential 5″ straw poll has successfully predicted the nominee since Ronald Regan won it in 1979. Most of the pundits expected Gov. Rick Perry to register his first win Saturday, but Herman Cain surprised the experts by winning the poll with 37% of the votes compared to Perry’s second place finish with 15%.
Obviously, Perry’s performance during Thursday’s debate has at least temporarily hurt him in the polls, but that is only part of the story. Cain’s ability to connect with the people attending the straw poll is what pushed him to victory. I had dozens of people at the event tell me that they initially were planning on voting for Perry but switched their vote to Cain after listening to him speak about the issues facing America. Like us, they are looking for a candidate who has new ideas and is willing to put the American people ahead of self interest.
The other candidates should take this as a warning that voters want more than a few well tested sound bites if they are going to win our votes. America wants real leadership from someone who will fight to return our country to sound governance, not just an attitude of “It’s my turn.” While we are not endorsing anyone at this point, we would like to congratulate Herman Cain on his Florida win and thank him for the ideas he brings to the debate.

I love Cain but am not sure if he can pull off the primary to the main stream.
We need Western Pac to keep us informed as to who of the Presidential candidates has traction as we now know that Herman Cain is getting that at present. That way we have a good idea who to vote for without losing our vote. I would love to vote for Palin or Santorum. The way it is looking right now I would vote for Cain. He has all the qualifications I am looking for, especially if he has Newt as vice president.
Forgot to mention that we have to vote as one and we can not allow ourselves to be divided and lose. We only have one crack at this and if we fail, obama is in for another 4 years. I sincerely hope we can pull this off if we don’t get sidetracked. So many people are convinced that “it’s the principle” that matters. Baloney!!!
I’m puzzled. If we don’t stand on principle what in the world are we voting for? Winning an election just to win it is ridiculous. This attitude is exactly what got us where we are today. Republican politicians have talked about the principles of limited government but then have jumped on the good ole boy band wagon and forgotten why they were elected. Baloney my foot. Principle is the meat!!
Lee – Be careful about Newt. Do a bit more research before you fall in love!! Mostly I remember his public endorsement of Democrat Dede Skitzoid in NY23. He talks a good game (and does have some good ideas) but he’s mostly just for Newt! His ex-wife has written some interesting comments also (not hateful, just interesting!)
Ya I agree with Alexis. I have my eye on Christy (I know he’s not in yet) and maybe Santorum. Not sure yet as haven’t heard enough yet. But, I never and never will vote this laughing circus back in!
Herman’s simple ways of addressing his topics are short and simple and the people can get a grip on. He is the perfect opposite to Mr. Obama, who tries to place himself as a modern day Lincoln however we need to remember the Gettysburg address lasted only three minutes, and was Lincolns defining moment. Mr. Obama would surely drag that on for an hour or so and lose the entire meaning of the speech.
You’ve got that right, Dan. I suspect the real reason Obama loves Lincoln so much is because the republic was so completely changed as a result of the Civil War. The shared power between the states and Washington of the old federalist system was slowly replaced by today’s system of the states being subservient in all respects to the will and power of D.C. That’s a dream come true for a control freak like Obama.
As far as Herman Cain is concerned, I defy anyone out their to show me a candidate on either side with better educational credentials and a better business track record than Herman Cain. You know the Left is scared when that idiot Maxine Waters gets air time calling him an Oreo. Cain was the guy who shut down Bill Clinton on his health care proposal 15 years ago by showing how old Bill’s numbers just didn’t add up. It’s hard to get false figures past a guy with a degree in mathematics as Cain has earned. Unlike that great “community organizer” Barack Obama, Herman Cain has real business credentials and a proven track record of getting results. Obama is still trying to deliver on his empty promises and rhetoric. The only two political cards he has left to play are class warfare and the race card. Against Herman Cain, the race card will explode in his face and divide the party.
So far, I like what I’m hearing from Cain and I’d like to hear more about where he stands on all the issues. I haven’t decided which Republican is best yet by any means, but at least Cain is speaking the truth as he sees it, and not what he think people want to hear. If Republicans get too tied up over “electability”, we’ll get another RINO nominee like John McCain with the same results as in 2008.

I think Cain, with Santorum,Pawlenty, or
Rubio as VP is a winner. I don’t trust the “used car salesman ” Romney…too much like Ron Popeil for me… Vegematic, anyone ?
Obama is such a hipocrit, I doubt he really loves Abraham Lincoln. He says what he wants people to hear so they will put their trust in him. He is dangerous in the way he is attempting to twist our country into European model where our forefathers took leave from. They came here and those who did come here one way or the other were brought here for reasons way above us all. Lets not let those who have died before us to have died in vain. I do not know if that last sentence is original or not, but it comes from my heart. I am hoping it is coming from yours as well. I do hope Herman Cain wins this. It will show a lot of peope they don’t know as much as they though and just who is in control and it is God. Just stand up for what is right and just and see who goes where.
Mr. Lincoln would have tried this present administration for treason.
The more I listen to Cain the more I like him. He’s growing on me like Mike Huckabee did. I’m still a die hard Huck fan but he’s not in the ball game. Maybe Cain would pick him as a VP…an awesome and probably unbeatable duo!
McCain is wore out and not fresh enough. We need someone who has a winning perspective. Someone like Herman Cain who had enough gonads to go out and do this bid for President of the United States must have known how much his country needed him. He is brave, clever and fair. I am pleased and feel more secure knowing there are others who had the brains to vote for him in the straw poll in Fla. Now lets finish the job and get him in and watch him take our country back to where it is workable. Mr. Cain is above the racism, the pettiness, the lies and deceit and hipocracy we have had to deal with in the Obama Administration. This present administration who seems to be working for anyone but this country. I have never totally dislike a president until Obama and that dumb butt Biden took office. Nancy Pelosi is about cracked and an embarrassment to this nation. They are not us us. We gotta get it back.
Cain got where he is without the mainstream We don’t need to depend on mainstream media. If you like him then support him get behind him that is why he is where he is today because of people who “love” him!
I really like Herman Cain. He is not a politician, he’s a business leader and a fine one at that. He doesn’t speak out of both sides of his mouth. He has a good understanding of the problems we face in America and how to fix them. He is direct and honest which is a fresh and needed quality for a political leader.
I am a very conservative white guy for the West Coast of America and look forward to Herman taking over the helm of this still can be great nation. We need is leadership and to get rid of the rest of the politicians who a currently running for President.
Sincerely,
Scott
I am very frustrated with the written and spoken media who continue to discount Herman Cain as a viable candidate. I have respected and admired this man since I first heard him speak. The journalists and commentators say,” Well, do you think Herman is moving up to the higher level with Perry and Romney?” My God, HE JUST BEAT THEM…and in a debate, he would make Obama look like a school child. Where is the support by the conservative media for this very brilliant, common sense, non politician, man of itegrity. I am
frustrated. I’m on board with him and I urge everyone else to get on the wagon, too.
The media would not have considered Abe Lincoln viable either had he been running today. So the media is not who is in charge, ultimately.
Herman Cain, didn’t surprise me. Mr. Cain is a common sense business man with a great deal of savvy. I think, we’re about to see a turn around in this election. Put Herman Cain against Obama and Obama doesn’t hold a candle to Herman Cain. I personally like Cain’s
response to the great need in our country
today. He is brilliant, and not the
run of the mill politician. It’s about time we had some on the side of the American People.
Herman Cain is the very best man so far for the job of U.S. Presidency. He is not afraid or ashamed of his faith, his country and knows what is going on in this country, especially how they are indoctrinating the children through schools and colleges. He has a great brain and clear heart. It may not hurt to tell you I am white, so I am not voting race here, just knowing this guy is for real. He, so far has my vote and I hope he surrounds hiself with people who stand up for their beliefs in their faith, U.S. Constitution, and justice for all. He is capable of discerning the Truth and not too lazy to read and comprehend. He is a real person who knows right from wrong, so his mama and daddy must have taught him right.
You know that voting for him will help insure a win. So stand up and vote for him to win. He is standing up for US.
The Democratic party has so many fancy lawyers which the repulicans have hardly any. I would put my vote with a business owner since they are the ones that want to grow and produce jobs. Cain has the common people in mind.
Political donations, which I have been able to do in the past, are now a thing of the past for me. I am on Social Security. If I could, I would send Herman Cain, a corporate sized gift. All I can give him now is encouragement, my best wishes, and my vote.
Doug… I’m in complete agreement!
From what I see and hear Herman Cain seems the most qualified, stable, business savvy candidate in the bunch.
He actually knows what it takes to balance a budget, hire people, make good business decisions.
The 9, 9, 9 plan would kill the socialist agenda and help Blacks, Hispanics and Whites prosper. The obummer race war is destroying America.
Time to stop the traitors / liberals / progressives and get back to making America great for all the people in America.
The Democrats stay in power by buying votes and in the process bankrupting our country and preventing people from being successful by destroying industries.
Cain is just the opposite. He believes in upward mobility instead of permanent dependency. He promotes plans to attain it and in my judgment is the most qualified person to become the next president.
We would love to see Herman Cain run against Barack Hussein Obama (the coil of
rage); and he is the best candidate for the job of President/and, would generate
a large turnout of voters, which is what the country NEEDS to see; that there is great angst by the public who are deeply troubled by the non-jobs attitude Pres. Obama has, and the anti-business attitude that has killed jobs. We are white and have no anti-black prejudice as that prevents one from observing truth when it is right in front of us.
Go Herman Cain, rah!!!
God Bless America (Black, white, brown and red)
I am a supporter of Herman Cain for sure. Herman is a straight talker who will lead this country the way it need to be lead. I also love the fact that he was willing to say that Newt would be his choice for VP. what a winning combo for the country. Herman Caine is the role model that the black community needs for sure. I sne t,y check to Hermans camp and I will be volunteering my time to get that man in the white house.
If he said the Newt, then he is wise. We do need the men in here dealing with those mid-easterners who have no respect for women. Mrs. Bachman would make a great anything, but the timing is best right now for the men to step up and show the world how to respect all who deserve it. I am truly proud of Herman Cain.
Romney, in his heart is a “big government” guy. Just look at “Romney Care” for proof. Plus he’s flipped and flopped on issues that go to the core of our soul as a country like “life” and recognizing that the 2nd Amendment is part of the Constitution too.
Perry, I’m sorry to say, can’t see the clear problem with giving illegals a better deal on tuition than American citizens from other states can get in Texas. His idea is to “educate” the illegals so they “won’t be a drag” on everyone else. But why educate a person that can’t LEGALLY be employed? Simply being here illegally and getting the health care, education, using our infrastructure etc. is already creating a “drag” on everyone else. He doesn’t see the problem here.
Cain obviously sees that we need to put AMERICANS first and stop pandering to the left. He sees that as Americans we are special, we’re different than others. Cain sees that when we follow TRADITIONAL American values the world is a better place for everyone.
I love Bachman and Santorum for similar reasons but they don’t seem to be getting any traction right now. We’ll see how it goes but I thank God that finally Constitutional Conservatives are getting a choice.
Mwil : I think you wrote a great reply! Only watch Buchman there is something she got in question. I can’t remember at this time s it ws few months ago (I am a Glen Beck, O’Riely,Magan etc. Fox news junkie and she needs to be checked out more. Otherwise I couldn’t hve read a better report.
Sorry my A button has a mind of its own!
You are right, as we have no time for flip flopping. We need to go forth and stand where we must. Do the right and honorable thing and ask God’s blessings back on this country. We will not lose.
Can we please put Cain’s 999 tax code in place?!?! I like Cain’s ideas on policies and reform. A friend of mine worked for Godfather’s Pizza years ago and he took care of his employees as well as the company. I can not see where he would not do the same for the United States and its citizens. Mr. Cain needs more time in the spotlight and if he doesn’t get the nod, he would be a phenomenal V.P. Actually, all of the republican candidates would be great cabinet members or administrative leaders…..including Newt!
Tate, good thinking. I want Mr. Cain as the Chief, though.
Knowledge and ability, including debating I give to Gingrich, but I am strong on Cain for: Values, Business experience, Fed Reserve experience, Economics background and they can’t use the race card on him. Obama is 1/2 white so he can’t take advantage of the other 1/2 against Cain. I’m afraid the news media has written off Gingrich in peoples minds years ago. It doesn’t matter what truth is, it is the implant from the media (e.g. Bush lies on WMD).
Have been a Cain fan since the first time I heard him speak……this is the man for the future. Not a politician. He WILL go all the way….we the people have had enough of politicians. I will not vote for a candidate who is backed by a bunch of has been politicans..ie…Ron Paul
I too have been a Cain believer since the first time I heard him speak at a conference two years ago. He was so inspiring and it is apparent that the more people who hear him, the more that feel the same way. I love the intelligence and experience of Newt and think they would make a great pair.
My early vote is for Cain. New face who can identify what needs to be done and at this point would appear that he doesn’t owe political debts. Romney and Perry are simply a continuation of the same old politicians who have been trading in favors most of their lives. Why would we think they will attempt to fix anything even if they can identify the action to take.
I think we have to be careful here and make sure we keep our eye on the ultimate prize. The reality is that almost all of the GOP nominee’s instincts are in line with those of us who want to get this country back to where it was. Vetting the candidates is one thing, but hammering their weaknesses into the subconscious of the rest of the electorate is self defeating in terms of the ultimate prize.
Cain, as someone on the outside trying to get in, must present something specific and attention getting (which is exactly what he has done). Perry, who apparently came in unprepared for the personal attacks and fared poorly in the debates, necessarily kept his approach general (as frontrunners do). The same applies more or less to Romney.
Inevitably, Cain’s 999 plan will now be taken apart and dutifully savaged by the other candidates and the media, and Cain will fall back in popularity. Every idea has its weak points, and his will be raised up the flag pole for everyone to see and ridicule just as was Perry’s Gardasil gaffe and Romney’s health plan.
The point is that anyone who has “changed their vote” based upon what has gone on in the polls better have a lot of extra marking pencils because they may change it several more times before we get through savaging ourselves in these silly debates (with sillier questions being asked).
Maybe a better strategy would be to illustrate in detail and with conviction how the democrats have brought us to the crisis we now have. Let’s get rid of this high school popularity contest mentality that emphasizes one’s ability to spit out barbs and retorts.
Herman Cain has been willing to answer the questions in these debates. He has more appeal because of this. Right now, I am down to 3 candidates, and he is one of them………. unless he shoots himself like Perry did.
Herman Cain is not only a breath of fresh air with his candor, he has workable solutions to Americas’ largest problems. It will be an uphill battle because of the fear he instills in Democrats as well as the Republican establishment. I’m giving as much as I can to Herman and praying for his success.
The Republicans should wake up and realize the democrats are using race and class warfare to demonize Republicans. We can turn the tides on them by nominating Cain as our Black man champion with a Bachman or Palin Vice President candidate to draw on the Female vote. Fight fire with fire is a classic military strategy that could provide the “backfire” of the democratic racism and class warfare.
I first learned about Herman Cain a month and a half ago. I really like him. I would love to see him in the White House. He has proven how capable he is in many different ways. He has the confidence and experience to get things done. He is successful, straightforward and experienced.
In a world which likes slogans, here are two:
Vote for the Hermanator!
Yes, we CAIN!
Herman Cain is giving us a vision of true leadership — a direction he would take us out of the morass of government control and taxation, into a world of freedom from government, its throttling regulation, and its inherent corruption. Cain, like Ronald Reagan, helps us to see “The Shining City on the Hill.”
That is good: “The Hermanator” I believe that could stick. LOL. He is the one. I will have to use that. Hope you do not mind.
Yes, we can all raise Cain with the Hermanator. LOL
Cain, a man so much like Reagan it is amazing. He first of all live in faith & Truth. He has a wonderful sence of humor and a pure smile from his heart. He is very bright and gets tough when required. I have finally become exited for our country with the hope that honor and truth will once again guide us. This country was built on all of us taking responsibility of ourselves of which nourishes selfworth and pride in ourselves.
Cain scores because he offers” solutions without the hot air pollution”
I connect w/ Herman Cain: his values of faith in God, sound business leadership, and courage. To discover a real American leader among the politicians is very encouraging!!!
This was a fantastic win for Cain, who then took the wind out of his own sails by admitting he had already almost quit, twice.
A bad move by an otherwise fascinating candidate.
I THOUGHT EVERY TIME I HEARD HERMAN CAIN SPEAK HE WAS DOWN TO EARTH, EASILY UNDERSTOOD AND A “WORKING MANS MAN”. JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HAVE A “GAZILLION DOLLARS” PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO THE MAN WHO GIVES US SOLUTIONS AND HAS A TRACK RECORD FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS. WE NEED THIS KIND OF LEADERSHIP FOR SURE….BETTER SOONER THAN LATER. HOPE THIS GREAT NATION WILL GET BEHIND HERMAN CAIN AND SHOW THE WORLD “WE THE PEOPLE” ARE STILL IN CHARGE – NOT THE BIG MONEY, NOT THE FLOWERY SPEECHES, NOT JUST DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS.
I am so excited to see Such a “NON”establishment Conservative as Mr. Cain starting to take off. When Reagan ran every one said he wouldn’t/couldn’t win but he believed in us. Mr. Cain is of the same stuff, he believes the message. I have been posting on every republican site I can that “I WILL NOT” vote for Romney / McCain, I will write in Cain if he does not win the party’s nomination. If Obama wins it will be on their heads not mine. 2012 is the year of the Constitution, love it or leave it and we need to start takin no prisoners.
Herman Cain is a true example of the American Dream. He wasn’t born w/a silver spoon in his mouth like many of our current politicians. He is a man of integrity, strong morals, and very strong work ethics.
Every time people hear him they love him. He speaks from the heart. He was the last speaker to the thousands at the Iowa Poll and if he has spoken first it could of been a very different outcome.
It’s time for a true business man that has proven himself to the working people to take the rains of a very damaged government.
What impressed me about Cain is when during an interview with Van Susteren the other night he, when asked about offending Mexico concerning his border control policies, stated he did not care if he offended Mexico or not. This is a prime example of saying what needs to be said about the issues that are turning our country into a bunch of mealy-mouthed, gutless slugs who are afraid to do what is right and necessary.
This also pertains to the muslim radicals, labor unions, and other socialist/marxist groups that are hell-bent on destroying us.
Cain answers the question asked. He does not hedge his answers. I have sent him money even though I had promised myself I would never donate to a politician. Oh, right. Cain is not a politician and that’s his appeal.
Herman Cain is the only candidate running for President that has my vote.
I’m a Business Consultant and I know how to create jobs and Herman Cain
is right on track. If anyone can turn this economy around, it’s Herman Cain.
His 9-9-9 Plan hit’s the target and will create millions of JOBS. I ask everyone
reading this to check out Herman Cain and sign-up at his website as a volunteer.
Sincerely,
Mike Ryan

I’m from FL and I was so pleased that Herman Cain won the straw pole. I’ve never sent a blog before today. We’ve lost our retirement and our home is under water. All we can do to help him is to pray and vote. I also tell everyone how much we admire him. God bless you Mr. Cain.
How are you getting by? You have my prayers, too. You people must be of faith. God Bless You. You are very strong and humble. Hang on.
Herman Cain spoke on a clip on my radio as I was going to work. [In NH]
I thought; “A black Ronald Reagan, with a southern accent”!!
His ideas and ideals are proven facts; not “pie in the sky” ideology!!
He has taken 3 companies from the brink of bankruptcy – Godfathers Pizza is one of them!!
We are tired of the same lies, innuendos, threats, etc. from the Liberal, Marxist, Socialist,Progressive Democrats. [IE" If any of you have read the Obumacare bill -- you will find that for us oldsters -- Euthanisia is indeed in our future!!]
Aren’t you tired of beng lied to – constantly – ?
Aren’t you tired of a president who has yet to stop campaigning?
We have yet to find a Conservative in the entire Democratic Party!!! [The last Democratic conservative was Zell Miller;
the only Democrat we would ever consider voting for. When he last ran for re-election, the Democrats hung him out to dry!!]
HERMAN CAIN is NOT a career politician – and what the USA needs now is a businessman who does what he say he will do!!
We have listened carefully to Herman Cain; and notice that if he does not know something — he will immediately study to find out the answer.
Check him out on http://www.HermanCain.com
Am, I surprised that Herman Cain is the winner, no! I have been following him for awhile now. What upsets me, is that our media, even the conservative news agencies, to do not give all the candidates during the debate the same amount questions during the debates, because of a “rule”! It is as if Romney and Perry have this all figured out…how to get all the time and attention, even to the point of introducing them ‘based” on their position with the polls! It is sad that not necessarily does the best man gets the nomination…or presidency, but he who can raise the most money! Maybe we need to put a limit on HOW much money can be used for a campaign! Guess what, perhaps if this country put a limit on campaign funding and spending, we would not see so many politicians kowtowing to contributors!
I’m sick and tired of professional politicians lying through their teeth and making all kinds of promises pandering to the poor and uneducated just to get elected so they can make sweetheart deals with their financial supporters. Herman Cain is a straight shooter who has the experience and integrity to lead this country out of the depression.
As president Herman Cain would be a Statesman, not a Politician after he is elected to serve us in Washington, DC he would continue the good fight for We The People! Herman Cain is most certainly not a Politician and he is a “real” conservative candidate. He defuses the ‘Class Warfare Rhetoric and Race Card’ and may well be the LOL crowd (Loud Obnoxious Left) and the ‘Elites’ most feared GOP candidate! While the LOL keep singing the same song they are seeing fewer and fewer people dancing to the noise they are making. I do not want a Politician! ‘We the People’ have an unprecedented opportunity to elect not who the ‘Elite’ and the ‘Political Opinion makers’ tell us is the ‘most electable’ but the candidate who really does best represent ‘We the People’! Herman Cain a man of Virtue, a Conservative, and a great Example of living out the American Experiment. Vote For Real Change Through Real Solutions. Support $ Herman Cain $! Check Him Out! Let elect a Statesman not a Politician!
Let’s have a Cain – Gingrich ticket. After all, they did receive a vote of confidence from many of the candidates in the last Republican debate, sponsored by Fox and Google, which means that the candidates who selected those two as vice president think they are most capable of the office of president. Additionally, a Cain run would perhaps forever put to bed the notion that the Tea Party is racist. I’ll put that the way Cain, himself, put it: That dog won’t hunt!
What a brilliant “wild card” question! If you had to choose a vice presidential candidate from anyone on stage, who would it be? I like that Gingrich refused to “play the game,” a characteristic a person in top office should have. Following Gingrich’s refusal, the other candidates on stage followed his lead and failed to name a potential VP, until Cain, that is. Cain took the lead back and turned the tables by saying, “I’ll play.” I would argue that his offer to play is also a characteristic we, the people, would value in our leader. He is a strong and wise leader. I like him!
I like Cain, be careful of Newt. See my note above — also, picture Newt on the couch with Pelosy agreeing with her on global warming and think “climategate.” Just because Cain says he’s ok for VP, perhaps he hasn’t had time to do that background research on ‘ol Newt! Not being a politician (a good thing) he has lots to learn about the players!
I had forgot about the global warming and the Newt thing. You are right. Newt needs to rethink who is in charge of the Universe and all therein.
Herman Cain is FOR THE PEOPLE, not just against Obama, or against Obamacare. Herman Cain brings a Can Do businessman’s approach to government, something sorely lacking on Capital Hill.
We need to listen to Herman Cain and not disregard him. We need someone who can put this country back on track. Whoever the nominee might be he or she must be able to win. I hope that Palin does not run and instead gets behind the candidate of the people’s choice.I have yet to settle and endorse anyone.
Herman Cain is the best thing to come along since Ronald Reagan. Cain Can!!! If the Republican Party would decide to back this man and support his candidacy, there would be no stopping him. The Party needs to wake up to the fact that America is sick and tired of the same old political hacks who promise the sun and moon and the stars that shine, but once they are elected, they revert to the same old party crap. If the Republican Party really desires a complete rout of the DemocRAT Party in 2012, they would pull out all the stops and start throwing their entire support behind Mr. Cain. He is intelligent, patriotic, well versed on the issues and is not politically correct. That is what America wants and needs.
Here’s what I would like to know. Who the heck is the REAL Tea Party???? I get 30 things a day in the mail and emails wanting money and calling themselves THE Tea Party. Seems to me the Teat Party would like to skip Politics-as-usual… [s/he with the most cash wins...]…
Opps. That spelling was NOT Freudian!
The last thing I want in the next President is an accomplished politician. We need a strong leader with vision, resolve, the ability to see the problems and the initiative to solve those problems. From what I have seen and heard, Herman Cain is the clear leader in ability to identify and solve problems. Herman gets me excited when he talks about returning this country to greatness. Let’s pray Perry overcomes the media’s agenda to get him nominated, and continues to shoot himself in the foot. He’s the only one on that stage who scares me .
Give me Herman or give me death!
I’m not sure Mr. Cain can win but I love what he brings to the debate. Business as usual, my turn now, rewarmed answers and party talking points are no longer acceptable. America needs decisive and action-oriented leadership to get us back to prosperity and again competitive in the world as it exists today. Yesterday’s status quoMEN need to replaced by tomorrow’s STATESMEN! Herman Cain could be that leader.
Well, if we all vote for him, it will help him not lose. So vote for him. Stand up. He is standing for us. Give him your vote. Don’t waste it. You will know you stood up for what you believed and take your chances. He is taking his chance, so lets take ours with him.
I think Cain would make an excellent President. In the 2012 election he would pull a lot of black votes away from Obama. And with female running mate the female vote for Obama would really fall.
Congratulations. I am so glad Cain beat out Rick Perry. He could win against Obama any day. We need a stong leader like Cain. I am not sure I will support him in the primaries, but if he wins, I will fight strongly for him to be president.
Cain is the only one who makes sense and has the right ideas to get us out of the mess Obama has gotten us in. Yeah Cain…
Herman Cain is exactly who we need to run this country. The Republican establishment needs to stop supporting the good old boys and get behind a man who knows how to run a business successfully and would certainly run our government like a business. As far as foreign policy is concern Herman Cain will surround himself with people who know the ins and outs of foreign policy and I am sure he would be a much better communicator then our President Obama who has really screwed up our foreign policy. Yes the RNC needs to back Herman Cain. Just think Cain/Rubio for President and Vice President what a class act. Absolutely would be good for our country!!
Typical old-fashioned politicking has always led to shielding the liars, the easily bendable personalities that put self-interests first. Picking on their competition does nothing to solve the national problems of concern to the voter.
We the People are primarily concerned with the Obama mess that needs to be cleaned up. We also need to downsize the government and reformat the national budget. We need to seriously deal with the income tax debacle which is the highest in the world at 35% The IRS is actually the collection agency for the Fed. Reserve. They need to be abolished.
The Republic of Panama does not have a central bank. We need to learn how they do it and then Do It for Ourselves.
We need to abolish the international links that maintain control over our economy and politics. We also need to listen to Lyndon LaRouse and apply his recommendations for restoring America.
I liked Cain from the start, but didn’t think he had much of a chance. Now that seems to have changed, and he may well get some monetary support from me.
I grew up with “Jim Crow” in effect, blacks to the back of the bus and whites in front, I didn’t understand it until after it was repealed. Now we have a President who is trying to devide the country again, he’s putting working people down, taking our money and saying we are racist because we do not support lazy people who fail to get educated and work hard enough to get ahead. I like Herman Cain, he says what he thinks and says it in a clear way so it doesn’t get lost in translation, the fact that he’s not a career politician is a plus.
Mr Cain is fully black!! He is not a mullado as is Obama.
Mr Cain has a fully American name!
Mr Cain is fully American! No question.
Mr Cain has a lot of business sense and can talk to people in understandable ways.
Mr Cain has NO baggage as Newt, Perry and Romney have.
Mr Cain should have the backing of many black people who have been betrayed by Obama.
Mr cain should have the backing of all in small business.
Mr Cain should declare fully prolife and not make an exception to killing rape or incest unions. They are people too, no matter how they were conceived.
Mr Cain could easily win over Obama
Unless Sara Palin joins in the race, I feel Mr. Cain would win in a landslide to be our next presidential candidate and win that race also.
Everyone should get behind one solid candidate so the dems can’t vote rep. in the primaries, a weak person to vie in the gen election – as they voted in McCain last time.
We need to pray – so God will hear us.
PLEASE GOD HELP US!!!!!!!!!
This 80 year old has been following Herman Cain and I wish the Republican Party would stop disregarding him.
Instead they should check him out. He is more than just Godfather Pizza although what he did there was great.
It is like they have already decided.
Open your eyes and give him a chance.
There are good things about most all of the candidates but Herman Cain stands out. We need him.
Herman Cain and whoever he would choose.
Herman Cain is not a politician and that is what we need in the white house a real every day American,We have to get rid of all the lairs & thieves “Politicians” in government NOW.
We are talking abt the most powerful and demanding function worldwide, and we drool abt how good this or that candidate debates and chooses his or her words?! A glib tongue does not a good President make. Most Presidents hv relied on speechwriters, and Obama is so insecure he uses a teleprompter. Talk does not impress me, character, background, and consistent conduct does. Relatives can make or break a reputation, better find out early.
What we really need to know is the kind of people our presumptive President counts as his/her inner circle (we should have seen from Carter, Clinton, and now Obama how crucial this info is). Nobody ever bothers to ask who are considered as possible Cabinet members (nowadays we have czars instead, ALL UNVETTED and sprung on us). Yet, these also have incredible powers, often strong-arming the Pres’s agenda. Who could be considered for Justice, say, or for Health & Welfare, EPA (if this idiot department is retained), and Home Security. These are our real concern, not the VP, who’s mostly a sop for the gullible. When will we start to take this whole process seriously instead of getting sidetracked by minutiae as who debates and knows mathematics best. This is not an engineering, debating, or science job, nor is it abt managing a company–it is NOT a ONE-MAN job anymore. It hasn’t been for quite a while. Please, note!
Obama Liz a lot too. We know who Cain is from his beating heart from which he is speaking. We do not need people to tell us who is right. God gave us all common sense, so now is a good time to start using it. This is more than an election for we are leaning towards what is good and true or trusting mankind in their rhetoric and media leanings. I am going with what is good and true, myself. I am trusting God to help me make the right decision for Him and to put this country back on the path from which it was founded. If a man is brave enough in this day and time to stand up against what we have all witnessed to stand on what is right and just I will win with him or I will lose with him. God Bless Herman Cain.
I agree with all that like Herman Cain. We have known for years how knowledgeable that Herman. We agree with the above man about our social security lives. We will donate when we can. Our prayers are with Herman Cain and we pray that he will get Mike Huckaby as his running mate, when Herman gets the nomination. We believe that Herman Cain is the only one that can beat Obama and bring America back to where we should be.
Mike Huckaby is not wanting the run. He is smart, but he is into what he is doing now. He does not want to lay it down. So go with who is willing and honorable for there are some who are fit enough to do a good job for this country. Mr. Huckaby is not likely to be as dedicated to this poor old battered country as who we need. Mr. Huckaby knows this and is better being where he can be used where he is.
I like Cain’s business background, but his lack of political experience might result in the same rude awakening Jimmy Carter got when he went to Washington for the first time. I’m also uneasy with his proposal for a 9% national sales tax. After all, the original federal income tax was only 1%, but it opened the door to the confiscatory taxes we endure today. In my estimation, creating any new federal tax sets the stage for its future abuse by socialists/liberals/progressives and should be avoided like the plague.
I feel Mr Cain is just what we need. He is an eloquent speaker, a manager and leader of his own company, a distinguished business man, and has plans for just about anything. If he appointed our former ambassador to the UN as his Secretary of State, he would have the benefit of all the Foreign Diplomatic wisdom he would need, and I am sure he knows this. I feel very comfortable with Mr Cain, and would feel even more comfortable were he to be elected President of our great country. He certainly appears to know what he is talking about, appears to be honest and forthright, and well liked, and I don’t think he is going to put up with and or listen to very much that doesn’t make sense to him and the American people. I hope he is successful in acchieving his goal as President, and has the machinery behind him to solve all of our problems – the biggest one being how to resolve our ecomony and get people back to work.

Someone said Herman Cain is the “non-Establishment Conservative”. Nuff said for me!
I was under the impression Ron Paul had won the Florida debate. But, as usual, he is never mentioned. Why?
Ron Paul has no backbone and compared to Herman Cain, his brain is not near as perceptive or quick. Who is that Gary Johnson who said the Education Department needed dismantling and overhauling. He is right about that too. I am not a betting person, but I believe these people in this country are smart enough to put Herman Cain in office.
Herman Cain is my man. I have given him money as I can afford to and will send him more. If we the people fund his campaign the corruption that has backed the politicians for decades will be defeated. Herman is straight, smart, presidential, strong, and has lived in the real world. best of all he is not a politician. Go Herman!
Cain is my man. Unlike our current president who is an ardent socialist with no real life experience to run even a lemonade stand much less our wonderful country, Herman Cain has plenty of managerial experience and is a consevative. He is also a genuine African American with slave ancestry who is a self made man from working class parents. He is a true role model for African Americans. Not only that but if Mr. Cain gets the GOP nomination, it will be very tough for Obama and his disgusting socialist hack supporters to play the race card. And frankly,I am sick to death with career politicians. Cain is not one of them.
If you go with the Truth you will win in the long run, sometimes even in the short run. We gotta get that bunch of thugs out of the white house. Mr. Cain has dignity Truth surrounding him. I hope he can use Alan West somewhere in the government as this is another brave soul. Michelle Bachman is very smart too. Get that brainpower around you and you can do anything as long as it is done through Christ. The Truth will prevail as our Constitution was built upon the Truth and Justice of the Ten Commandments and Holy Bible. We better have God on our side if we are going to go up against what is facing this country.
Many in Leftist Hollywood thinks with their butts. Everything they do are say has sexual conotations. They cannot get past the diaper stage or the pull ups stage in their thinking. They either want the world to dope up or drop their pants. They parade half naked in front of the world then demand respect for what they are doing. They need to wise up and see the world does not revolve around their ideas of leftist freedoms. It seems their ideas of freedoms are for an elite who think they are above respecting the laws and decency. They seem to want a nation without God so they can lapse into hedonism and depravity. It is time to stop this nonesense and see the world is hurting and does not need their mooning everyone who is trying to have decency and morals. Who are they who want to deprive our children the right to know our Creator and learn His Commandments? They want the worship instead of God’s rightful place to have worship. It is pathetic where they are attempting to take this country. They are slaves to their own depravity and lack of seeking and acknowleging God Almighty. They think looking the best, in designer clothes and the best cars is going to help them avoid the rot of death and after that the judgement. They and their pathetic lifestyles are what they are leaving their children and making some kind of false impression on the children of others.
