It’s time to be heard

We’ve seen it over and over again: the big-government politicians in both parties, and their allies in the mainstream media, demonize the tea party, call us names, and otherwise attempt to discredit us. It’s what happens when you can’t win on ideas – you yell and scream and try to shout down the other guy!

Like you, we’re sick and tired of it! We’re not racists, terrorists, or right-wing extremists. We’re not hobbits, we’re not “tea-baggers” and we’re certainly not to blame for the credit downgrade, soaring deficits, or the sour economy (Barack Obama is responsible for all that!).

The tea party is made up of people like you and me: working class Americans, grandparents, veterans, and patriots of all races, colors and creeds. So we’re proud to announce that we’re launching a nationwide television ad campaign to highlight what the tea party actually is. We’re going to highlight great patriots from across the country and air them on the nationwide news networks – including the liberal ones – to show people exactly who we are: everyday Americans who support fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government!

This will be the first nationwide ad campaign about the tea party movement, and I’m very excited to be a part of it. I’m going to ask you to do two things to participate in the project as well. First, please leave a comment about why you support the tea party. And second, we won’t be able to launch these historic ads without your financial support. Will you help us launch our “I Support the Tea Party” campaign? If so, please make a generous donation by clicking this –LINK–

Great idea. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all you do.

    • Doug Ray says:

I fuly support the Tea Party! This is not a difficult concept. It is the same common sense approach that even our families MUST adhere to or put yourself in a possition to loose it all. Simply you much not spend more than you can afford. You must defend your Freedom and Liberty. You must provide an environment that encourages innovation and job creation. Simple. To bankrupt one’s family eliminates any parth forward. To bankrupt the Country eliminates EVERYONE’S part forward.

    • Robert Pryor says:

Unlike the President, I don’t have to apologize for anything. I don’t have to claim that I am not a racist or an extremist. I don’t have to defend myself against thugs that utter the words “terrorist” or imply that patriots are the demeaning comparison of “hobbits”.
I do wish to expose those columnists that use “unnamed sources” to be insolent and vulgar. Those unscrupulous reporters that “innocently” repeat, or should I say, intentionally distort everything that is sacrosanct by declaring Tea Party loyalists as racists or extremists. I am tired of those politicians who scream foul when the innocent painting of a target, (Sarah Palin), is deemed to be the action of a hit squad, yet find the words to point out that “kill Romney” or “Tea Party terrorists” is an innocent indulgence in the first amendment.

    • Luci DeCero says:

Every true American should be proud to be a member of the Tea Party. We must get back to our roots of a limited government under the Constitution. We must stand together and with God’s help, we will prevail.

  2. Dee Dudas says:

We want a future for our children and grandchildren and care about this country.
    We see God being taken out of our country;
disrepect for our American flag; wasteful spending, Chicago politics taken to the White House; corrupt voting where the dead, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck can vote. Manufacturing has left and there are only part time, no benefit jobs.. we could go on…this is why we joined the Tea Party.

    • Betty Eischen says:

Thank God for the tea party.
We do care about this country our hard work and saving for the future not only for our own but for our kids and grand kids. We need to get this great country back on track and start producing great things again.

  3. Terry L. Fake says:

Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have done anything but put forth teir own agendas of self interest. Both parties have brought us to the brink of bankruptcy and government failure and a breakdown of this great republic; it is time for a change we can really believe in. Go tea party members!

    • Mark says:

It is a good way to get the attention of a party that has forgotten why we have supported them over the years. It used to be both parties were fiscal conservatives other than during the Great Depression. Starting with LBJs Great Society Democrats gave up being fiscally conservative. The Republicans have had their ups and downs whether they were fiscally conservative or not. I joined the Tea Party because it focused on making our gov’t fiscally sound at a time the bad fiscal policies were causing the deficit to skyrocket.
Both parties had a chance to embrace us and they still haven’t made a complete commitment to adopt our concerns.

  4. Julia Berry says:

Just entered a small donation – what a joy to be a part!

  5. Tea Party: We’ve won some battles and lost a few, also. Lets continue to fight and get the message out while staying within the Republican Party. A third party, at this time, will only divide the conservatives and guarantee a big WIN for all the liberals. I believe in the TEA PARTY. It is our political hope for righting the wrongs of big government.

  6. Carl says:

I am sick and tired of my Government wasting my money. Let’s vote them all out next election.

  7. Barbara L.Ratka says:

I support the Tea Party because they are standing up for all Americans who haven’t been heard for many years. The Tea Party and I are going to help save our country for my children. That is the most important thing to me and my husband!

  8. LeAnn Rowse says:

I support the Tea Party because it is going back to the Constitution, “WE THE PEOPLE”. It is a Grass Roots organization made up of ordinary citizens to do something about changing our government back to what it started out to be. I believe that if we (the ordinary citizens) band together, we will make a difference!

  9. Jim Keller says:

Dustin, this blog should add to the TEA Party awareness getting the truth messages to the public. Keep up the great work!

    • David Irish says:

I fully support the Tea Party and its mission. We can save America and make it
a great nation again. The President does
not know how to lead our country.

A national campaign to tell all our
people who the Tea Party is. We are common
people wanting less govt. spending, keep
our freedom, keep taxes down, balance the\
budget. Nixon and Clinton balanced the
budget. We need to stop the slander against Michele and Sarah and the Tea
      Party in general.
      Keep up the good work.
      David Irish, Phoenix, AZ

  10. Karolynn Ruppert says:

Yes, it.s about time we clarify who we are. You’d think “We the People” would have understood by now who the “Tea Party “really is, all of us. We’re down home patriots, the glue that makes all of America work, people of faith, people who love our history good and not so good, but we’ve neveer been horid to the outside world as this regime .

  11. Gloria Wedemeyer says:

I totally support the tea party. I have been to 2 rallys, one in Washington DC and one locally. I found people from all walks of life who are the most involved American people I have ever met.
They were interesting and well aware of what is going on in this country. We all want the same things, less intrusion from the Federal Government, more morals, more ethics.

I didn’t start paying very much attention to politics before 9/11. I watched news on the liberal media channels (which I did not realize were liberal at the time) I believed everything they told me. I really started paying attention in 2008. I did not support Obama then because of the people he associated with. Then I started reading, listening to Fox News, the only channel which is fair and balanced. I have heard if you listen to lies over and over, after a while you start believing them. I have done a lot of research and I believe Obama is the worst president we have ever had, and I believe congress are a bunch of puppets. They don’t put America first, they only worry about the next election and pleasing their constituents. They don’t have America’s best interests. Then along came the tea party and they valued the same things that I believe in.
I am a 70 year old woman and they didn’t have handouts when I was young, or if they did I did not know about them. When someone was down and out, families and neighborhoods chipped in to help them out.

All the tea party wants is for our country to be protected, less intrusion from any government and live by the constitution, which made our country unique and great. This is why our ancestors came to America in the first place.

I sincerely hope the tea party grows and keeps fighting for our rights as individuals.

    • Marie Dean says:

I lived in the California Bay area and did not realize until I moved to San Diego, the difference between liberals and conservatives. I didn’t understand why the Bay Area thought my principles and morals were out of whack. When we moved to San Diego I started listening to Roger Hedgecock and Rush. Rush started talking about the Tea Party and I saw that they have the same morals and principles as I have. Now I live in Atlanta and have added Glenn Beck to my list of instructors. I have learned a lot from Rush, Glenn and the TPP. Thank you for all the info.

  12. Mel says:

It’s time for WE THE PEOPLE to take control of our country. Vote very carefully and get the right peoplr in Office and the bad apples out!!!

  13. Karolynn Ruppert says:

We are the glue, the backbone of this counrty, the fabric of continuity of the USA and the middle and left want to reduce us to terrist status?????!!!!!!!

  14. Karolynn Ruppert says:

    Sorry we’re not terrorists!!!!!P.S> Yes I can spell!!HA Ha!

  15. beau murphy says:

i just cant believe how brilliant the tea party is. First you are wise enough to NOT become a political party. then you STICK to the issues involved. Since the marxist was elected, i looked around the political landscape and saw nothing. Rick Santelli started it all. Then the marxist wakes up Americans with the STIMULUS! That shocked ordinary americans and got them involved. The 2010 election told it all. Now for 2012!!!!!!!!! Please, please, do not alter your stance and stay the course. Many may not believe this but the TEA PARTY will save America again!

Give me liberty or give THEM death!!!!

    Beau Murphy

  16. Brian Woehler says:

I support the Tea Party because I support this country. Each generation has served this county in time of need and I can not think of a time we have had our way of life threatened than today. The Tea Party represents every walk of life, not just certain special interest groups. We need to stick together and get this country heading back to our roots. We need to get back to what we have fought and some died for.

I feel that the Yea Party is the best avenue to get this done.

    God Bless!
    Brian

  17. Jon Liljekrans says:

We need to help our fellow Americans understand that there are solutions to the economic and political misery we are in. A return to free markets and constituitionaly limited government will immediately transform our reality. If we do the following America’s strength and confidence will come roaring back:

    1. Repeal Obamacare. Move to a market based reform of health care.
    2. Simplify and flatten the tax code for individuals and corporations. Lower rates across the board.
    3. Broaden the tax base so every citizen pays at least some tax.
    4. Stop taxing investment and shift to taxing consumption.
    5. Privatize Social Security.
    6. Reintroduce a Gold Standard for the Dollar. Reduce the role of the Fed and increase oversite of it.
    7. Aggressively develop America’s energy resources. End government subsidies to any private company, including eathonal and green energy companies.
    8. Repeal the Dodd-Frank legislation.
    9. Privatize Fanny and Freddie Mac.
    10. Eliminate taxes on corporations repatriating overseas profits.
    11. Get serious about controlling our border with Mexico and dealing with our illegal immigrant problems.
    12. Enact term limits for Congress. Congress as a career is huge part of the problem!

  18. im a tea partier and i like the tea party they are the only ones making sense out of all the garbage that this administration has put upon us and they are strong steadfast true americans and made up of liberals dems repubs conservatives libertarians and every race and they dont like multiculturalism i believe we need to rid of all of these groups and live as americans despite the rest of the worlds view of us no communism for us only freedom loving americans and believe in the founding fathers whom made this country great we must get back to that

  19. Roy Jones says:

The various Tea Party Organizations are the first real step in taking control of our “Out of Control” National Government. There is a lot more to be done and we have just begun to fight as seen in the last election. We cannot allow the radical left controlled media to divert us from our needed goals. Reducing the size of government, eliminating all of the policies that take our freedoms away and are job killing, putting our elected officials on the same pay and retirement as everyone else, ridding the welfare rolls of deadbeats, raising the standards of education in our schools, reduce the strangle on our manufacturing by the crooked unions, bringing the factories and jobs back to America, lowering the tax rate on corporations to keep their monies here, revising the Federal tax system and initiating a flat tax system to make it more fair to everyone and increase revenue, balance the budget and pay off the National Debt, keep the Social Security Funds in a trust account as was originally set up and do not allow the politicians to use it for anything besides what it was intended to be used for. Maintain a strong military and stop sending money to all the countries that hate us. Develop all of our energy potentials and export the excess oil and natural gas that we could develop. Seal the borders with whatever means necessary. These are just the beginning of what needs to be accomplished. Above all, put God back into our schools and courts and our daily lives. The Tea Party can do all of these things.

  20. tonya byrum says:

I support the tea party because it is the voice of the people who want govt held accountable! Fiscal resposibility, less taxes, free markets. The voice of reason!

  21. Economics 101 lists the score of every Senator and every Representative for 2001-2010. A summary for 2009-2010:
    A friend to taxpayers (100-90):
    25 Republican Senators
    Good to taxpayers (89-80):
    10 Republican Senators
    Satisfactory to taxpayers (79-70):
    3 Republican Senators
    Poor to taxpayers (69-60):
    3 Republican Senators
    Hostile to taxpayers (49-16):
9 Democratic Senators, 1 Ind. Sen.
    An enemy to taxpayers (15-0):
48 Democratic Sen., 1 Ind. Sen.

    • Michael says:

Economics 101 was one of only two classes which I flunked in having attended five universites. Both then and to this day I do not understand and cannot accept the wasteful use of printing money we do not have, and worse the congress and president go right along with it. At one time I think it may have been a trustworthy honor to serve in these offices.

  22. Bob says:

OBama is the worst President this country has ever had!!!Thank God for the tea party!!!..The tea party IS AMERICA at its best.Stand TALL!!!!!!

  23. All American says:

The Tea Party has two main characteristics people should care about… :
    HONESTY
    GOODNESS

That’s all I need to say.
Fight for that honesty and goodness my brothers and sisters!
    AMEN

  24. MARY SMITH says:

I LIKE THE T-PARTIES I AM SURE THEY ARE THINKING OF THE GOOD OF AMERICANS AND THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT ARE OBAMA &CONGRESS SURE IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT ANY ONE BUT THEMSELVES AND MAKING AMERICAN INTO A 3rd WORLD COUNTRY. I THINK WE SHOULD DO AWAY WITH ALL THE CZARS THE EPA AND MOST OF THE BANKS &THE UN & QUIT SENDING ANY MONEY OVERSEAS EXCEPT TO ISREAL.

  25. jimmy says:

all the problems have been coming for 30 to 40 yrs.the time they started letting jobs go over seas, things have been going down hill. i’m sorry to see this country this way. even if it toke you an your wife to work, you could have a few things, buy a house, new car, when the job left, you have one person paying the bills, not possible,if you a working person. no jobs to be had for people had to work with there hands, no jobs means less tax dollars. the polices caused this, an big business , now the working person is being blamed for this mess. if the job were here not as many houses would be foreclosed on, there would be less welfare. the working person make this country, now they wont to take way the retirement rights of the working people, wont to save money stop policing the world, stop the wars , stop giving money to other country’s that hate us,we have to borrow 40cents on the dollar , an they, the politicians know about have half of that money is stolen. get the illegals, out of this country , they only cost the common person money, big business make money buy selling them products, an getting cheap labor , the common person pays the welfare they use an don’t tell they do not get it. we have to many that are citizens that need help. thank you Jimmy

  26. Frederick B. Ashplant says:

I’m proud to be counted as a Tea Party member. As we all know we are not a political party but a broad cross section of the citizenship of America. We are the true voice of free Americans who stand for limited government, responsible spending, personal freedom, and the preservation of our God given rights guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Any politician who disregards these principals does so at their political peril and must be made to pay the penalty. We made a start in November of 2010 and we need to finish the job in 2012.

  27. Franklin Rudisill says:

Our forefathers founded this country because of high taxes and religious persecution, in other words limited government involvement in peoples life’s
that’s what the Tea Party is all about.
We need to stop electing politicans and get back to the grass roots that made this country great.

  28. C K Routh says:

Enough is enough, ! , Shut down this socialist agenda NOW,!, Get rid of these lifetime politicians…who have ruined this country and squelched the voice of true Americans…

  29. Dougm Moyers says:

I am part of the Tea Party because they believe in what made this country great, our Constitution and Bill of Rights. These are the recipes left to us by our fore-fathers to live a good life and be free to pursue life, liberty and happiness! But know one is guaranteed these three wonderful things but with hard work and the love of god anyone can succeed! Thanks to all my Tea Party brothers and sisters let’s take our country back and throw these Socialist, Marxist and Communist out of our country. For the ones that participated in putting and illegal person into the WH and those who continually break the laws of the land lets make sure they get tried for treason and hung in front of the White House for all to see. So everyone will know we don’t tolerate enemies of this country!

  30. Beverly Golato says:

The Tea Party is not Republican, Demorcrat or any other party, it is not white or black or any other color. We are citizens of the US that want our constitution strickly followed. America was made great by a deep belief in God and the ten Commandments and those are the things we are fighting to keep. When we vote it is usually for a Republican because the Democrats have lost the meaning of being an American. We have people in Washington that have completely followed the wrong path and some that believe that Socialism is the answer, well it is not the answer. Socialism takes away your soul, your desire to want to improve yourself and it takes away your love for your country. We need to stand firm and vote a two party system any other way would give the votes to those who we don’t want in office anymore.

  31. Jacob Kessel says:

Along with many other patriotic Americans from across the nation, from all political parties, races and ethnic origins, I believe in the Tea Party and it’s ideals. In doing so, I’m not part of a fringe group; am not a terrorist; nor do I belong to any group that holds our government hostage–as many senior leaders of our government–who should know better–and those in the mainstream media say. They are wrong about the Tea Party, and they know it–the reason they behave the way they do is because the truth threatens them and their political agendas–and they fear us. That’s why they try to marginalize us. We have caused them to confront the truth about the disasterous paths our nation is being led. We have forced them to confron the shameful fiscal mess they have helped the nation get into, and we have demonstrated for everyone to see the many serious fallacies and flaws in the their progressive views for America. We have also forced them to confront the fact that most Americans are wise to their real purpose behind allowing and encourageing unlawful immigration (increasing the number of democrats, the party which new enfranchised citizens tend to initially join); and the shameful coddling of unions, allowing them to force members to pay dues which are then used for political purposes without members’ consent. We are on to their hypocrisy, they selfishness and their lack of concern for the nation’s demise. We know them for what they are, they know we know this, and they know more Americans are catching on to the real truths. And this is what scares them more than anything else. Let’s all continue to shine light on policies and practices that are leading our nation towards disaster. Truth and integrity are on our side, and they can’t defeat those values!

  32. Randal Agostini says:

I thought the Tea Party was a great idea from the beginning and I believe it is even more important today. This is a Republic and more and more politicians of all stripes want to take this government from the people. The Tea Patry just proved that it has meaningful influence. I don’t care what names I am called in this process, but when we are trying to do the right thing for our families and for our countryit is bound to look different – even revolutionary compared to the nonsense that has gripped Washington. Let us keep our eyes on the prize – smaller government, for the people, within our constitutional framework. We can achieve this little by little, but we must keep the pressure up. Let EVERY politician and government bureaucrat know that any legislation, rule and right will have to pass the Tea Party litmus test.

  33. Steve Bell says:

Go Tea Party! But we still need to make sure out cadidates are of the party agenda. In my state, we had a person running who did not line up with the 2nd amendment or our immigration issues correctly. This person was almost our gov.. It is only when we know what our politicians stand for that we can define our new, traditiononal, and powerfull voice.

  34. Conrad Hurd says:

I support the teaparty movement because they believe in common sense. They know that truth exists in absolute form and they seek to follow it and encourage others to follow it. Without that, we are the blind leading the blind and we all will end up in the ditch!

The truth is, this country and its constitution is about FREEDOM from the tyranny of despots, not “social justice”. The term “Social justice” itself is not truthful, it’s neither sociable nor just. It is based on endless rules, regulations and bondage, and it relies on debilitating and unfair taxes. This amounts to theft calculated to consolodate government power under the pretext of “helping the poor”–who become its dependent slaves.

The socialism of the USSR caused its downfall, but certain people insist that America should follow that path. They do not want to see truth, to reflect on the end of the USSR, of how its policies took it straight to the ditch in only 70 years.

By the way, If anyone wants to see what real, absolute, dependable truth looks like, let him start with the Bible, and its hero, Jesus Christ.

We can also note how the Bible has told us that in the last days “kings” will sit around conference tables determined to outdeceive one another. This reminds us of present day politicians. Let’s not be deceived by them, but pray for them, and vote in as many honest men to replace the incorrigible ones as we can! We need men who, when they swear to uphold the consititution, really mean it!

  35. Pam and Bob Babbitt says:

We are seniors and in our life time we have never seen a “so called President” bring our country down like this one. His agenda was and is to make America a solialist or communist country(look who he associated with “people”)?
We joined the Tea Party in our town of Monticello,In and thank God you are getting stronger. We need more Tea Party candidates running please keep up the good work we need you to help bring back our Country to what it was “GREAT”
We are losing our savings everyday and he and the congress go on vacation what is wrong with this picture”?
Your “Cut,Cap and Balance was and is the answer!!!!!! Please stay strong we plan to let’s get mad and get Obama out of there.

  36. Joseph DeLaney says:

I am a ww ll veteran and I am aschamed of the current action in Washington DC.
I am a t-partier and proud to be associated with people who are not afraid or aschamed to voice our opinion when my country and government is being taken away from the US Constituion.
The men who gave their lives, fortunes and sacred honor must be spinning in their graves. We are a nation of God and if necessary will fight for our RIGHTS.

  37. Bob & Carol Schmucker says:

The Tea Party is the only real representative of the people. Certainly, those self serving Loonies in Washington do not represent anyone but themselves. Otherwise they would subscribe to the same laws and privileges that we do.

  38. kathryn Reitz says:

During my 63 years I’ve watched as all levels of government have grown, gorging themselves on the hard earned dollars of tax paying citizens. Government workers now believe our income belongs to them and WE are nearly criminal in trying to hold onto it! Our liberties have been snatched away from us by unscrupulous policitians behind closed doors! Elected officials have run up a debt against American citizens lives that can NEVER be paid back, while granting themselves huge salaries and benefits. Of COURSE they will be calling us names and discrediting us when we stop their merry-go-round! Personally, with Obama in office, I believe America’s entire Constitution is in danger. Does he expect we’ll go down without a fight? The teaparty is one way that common American citizens can place their vote as a powerful block against the death of our country as a republic. The 2012 election will be heated and dirty! The Teaparty and GOP need to remain unified, fearless and CLEAN! BUT learn to respond immediately and powerfully against filthy, lying attacks. I am proud to be a Teaparty participant!

  39. Barbara J Struble says:

I joined the Tea Party because I am a Christian constitutional American . I changed from Democrat to Republican because I am not a marxist. In the beginning, the liars said we were nothing; now they say we are running the country. “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it…Ps.127:1.
that is why we are “one nation under God” That is why I support Israel. God rules – we win. Let us stand united, steadfast and growing in numbers in the love and peace of God.

  40. Colleen Monson says:

Why am I proud to be a Tea Party supporter, where do I begin? We need to take back our country, elect politicians that understand that they work for us and that this is not an opportunity to stuff their pockets til they bleed us dry. We need integrity, morals, intelligence and ethics in our elected officials. I guess to sum it up, we need SANITY in Washington.

  41. Tom DeForge says:

The Tea Party may be the very last hope in this country to restore Freedom and return our once great Nation to the foundation that Tea Party Members in 1773 along with our founding fathers sought for us. The current state of this once great Nation is a direct result of years of Socialism ideaology. The very thing that thousands upon thousands of American men and woman before us have gone to foriegn lands and laid down their very lives to prevent from happening. For the first time in over 50 years, I am inspired by several who have entered public service as Tea Party members and I pray to God every single day, that the elections in 2012 will see our Government full to the brim of Tea Party members who’s only goal is to restore America to the last and only “Free Nation” on earth. Teach your children, educate your neighbors, stand strong and be vigilant for we are in the midst of our greatest battle yet and the only thing that will prevent us from turning our Nation around and restoring freedom to America is our own will. God bless America and God bless each and every Tea Party advocate.

  42. The Tea Party is a grassroots movement of unconnected groups and individuals who agree on one thing: when your total indebtedness starts to affect your credit rating, it’s time to stop borrowing, stop spending, and start working to build your balance.

I’ve not met most of the people in the Tea Party, even online. Some of them are working toward additional goals that I don’t support. Some of them are working toward additional goals I do support. We have no central organization or formal credo. Far from being blind followers, we’re a loose network of people who may or may not bother to read each other’s e-mails.

But I, personally, am not a terrorist. I’m not even a hater. I didn’t vote for our current President, but I once wrote a favorable review of his first book.

  43. Reverend Jim Williams says:

If I may speak for the Tea Party, “We will see how you liberals feel after the vote in 2012.”

  44. Dave Freeman says:

    How about a solution?
I read an interesting article, ‘LEAN Government’ at: http://oldleandude.com/
I had never heard of Shingo but his comment, “…he would be able to cut the defense budget by 1/3 without any reduction in service.” got my attention!
Non-stock Production: The Shingo System of Continuous Improvement by Shigeo Shingo? (Paperback – Jun 30, 2006)

I ordered this book the other day and am anxiously awaiting its delivery.

  45. johntithof says:

I AM SO SICK OF THE DOUBLE TALK FROM BOTH PARTIES, I FEEL THE TEA PARTY IS THE ONLY WAY A PERSON CAN FIND THE TRUTH. MY CONGRESS MAN IS ON THE DIRTY 12 WHO IS SUPPOSED TO CURE ALL OUR ILLS, BUT ALL THIS BS IS GOING TO BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. SHOULD I TRUST THEM WHEN ALL OF THEM GOT US IN THIS MESS TO START. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER SQUARE HOLE WITH ROUND PEG TO FIX IT.

  46. Tom Kiley says:

Name-calling is a great thing. Why? Because as you have highlighted, if they resort to names, they haven’t a fact that is debatable, let alone correct. And I contend that being called names is although like being the victim of a bully, it is also a badge of honor. Like the sticks and stones poem, they cannot hurt us. AT ALL! In fact I would like to point out another name that was sued as a derogatory slam at previous patriots. Do you remember,..

    YANKEE DOODLE?

  47. belleboy says:

The Tea Party is “We the People.” I do not believe that the Democrats or the traditional Belt-Way Republicans can state that.

  48. Stevan Pope says:

American’s are weary of the disingenuous political elite that buy their way into office and remain preoccupied with their own campaign and agenda, ignoring the needs of common people they were elected to SERVE,

These days, the two party system is fatality flawed because it’s controlled more by money than evaluated by quality ideas or moral character. This outcome occurs in all governments when God’s influence is replaced by ambitious politicians.

Many of us grasp the underlying cause and effect that many American politicians no longer reverence God or the Holy Bible’s instructions how to live life. Timeless truth has been discarded for contemporary agendas.

When people are no longer willing to remain silent and condone evil and become bold enough to speak up to hold those elected accountable, things will change.
    see II Chronicles 20:9

  49. Rolland Hamm says:

The tea party reflects what is right minded thinking for this country. This country was founded by people who lived through the difficulties of English rule and control where it was all for England and little for residents of this land. So it was made Our Country. It was not made a democracy that is found nowhere in the constitution or the bill of rights of the United States of American or in any constitution of any state of this union. It is a republic and officials are elected by citizens of the Republic. Politics has become so involved that politicians and benefactors buy politicians who sell themselves so they can get and stay elected to abuse their power. And that is what the Tea Party is working to change. And it is hard to do. Most citizens usually don’t vote. And they shouldn’t because they don’t know enough about what and why things have happened and are happening. The Tea Party is changing that. And it has started to be heard. Thank God.

  50. Paul Hursh says:

I have donated several times to the tea party and wish I could do more but I do what I can. You are what this country, especialy now, needs to give a voice to the average man. Keep it up. It is paying dividends.

  51. Charles Lincoln says:

I support the Tea Party, because my family is connected to the American Revolution.

  52. Joseph Crary says:

I am a strong supporter of ‘government of the people, by the people, and for the people,’ as well as a strong advocate for the Constitution of the United States of America.

I fully support and advocate ANY like minded political organization, and strongly oppose all other political organizations.

The Tea Party has succeeded in bringing together Americans from all backgrounds who feel as I do, and more importantly, the Tea Party is returning American government to the GOD fearing institution our founding fathers envisioned.

GOD bless America and GOD bless the Tea Party!!!

  53. Dave Chapman says:

I support the Tea Party to the extent that you are focussed on fiscal sanity (reigning in Govt. spending, reducing the debt, etc.). I am not a social conservative, and I think that if you focus on social issues, you will alienate many moderates. Also, you are demonized in the main stream media, and so have to work extra hard to get your message out!

  54. Bill PaSCAL says:

TEA PARTIERS DO NOT BELIVEE IN BABY KILLING, HOMEOSEXUAL “MARRIAGE”, HIGH TAXES AND BIG GOVERNMENT. wHAT’S wRONG WITH THAT? a.h.’S WHO CRITICZE THEM SHOULD BE CAUTIOUS OF THEIR PROPAGANDA CORRUPTING THE GENERAL POPULACE,

  55. June Russell says:

My ancesters fought in the Revolutionary, Civil, WWI wars; my husband in WWII and the Korean conflict; my brother in Vietnam; our son-in-law in Desert Storm and we are proud to be Americans. Our country does not bow to any other and needs no apologies and that’s why we belong to the Tea Party. Thanks to what the present administration has done to our finances, we cannot financially support it, but we can pray for it.

  56. Bill L. says:

I support the movement because I am a free man. I am a free man because of this nation. I served in the U.S. Army Special Forces throughout the 1960′s. As I write, there is before me a small, flat ivory gift made by an old team sgt., supporting an S.F. crest with its motto, “DE OPPRESSO LIBER”. On the underside of the ivory is carved, “In memory of Lawrence J Englander, SSG, 5th SFGA -A109- MIA 2-5-68″
A good and kind young man. Sometimes it feels that he (and a few others like him) lives on, a truly free and forever-young man, looking out through my eyes and informing my aging life. We could never passively watch the “social radical” crowd of the 1960′s and 1970′s and their figurative offspring oppress this nation.
(With tremendous respect to David Horowitz, a social radical of the 1960′s–author of “Radical Son”–who could not passively watch it either.)

  57. Victoria K. Coots says:

I have been involved with the Tea Party since its inception in 2008. Formed to hold the feet of both parties to the fire, prayerfully redirecting them to our Godly heritage and Constitutional limitations, the Tea Party has done an incredible job of bringing in people of all stripes, who are disgusted with our elected “representatives,” and where they are taking our great nation.

  58. David H. says:

Why we do it? Obama and the union bosses do what they do for power. We, the Tea Party, do what we do because we love this country.

I went to the national Tea Party rally in DC last Sept. 12, 2010. 400,000 of us were gathered around the Washington Monument and after a prayer for our country we sang “God Bless America”. I was so overwhelmed by emotion I could not sing. Rather, I cried.

  59. John Wiggins says:

    Amen

  60. The tea party is the hope for American preservation.

  61. Clarice Hacka says:

“Self government does not work without self discipline”, and we so much need self discipline in the White House. We have to take back our great country, now. If we don’t act soon we will be a third world country. It scares me alot lately to think of what we may become when we go broke. I think of all the people living on their government check that will bounce. That is why I joined the Tea Party.

  62. Corrine Glass says:

I support the Tea Party because I want the government(federal, state, city, and county) to be accountable for their actions and to the public that provides the funds that they spend. Keep up the good work, TEA PARTY!

  63. Ken LaRive says:

I support the teachings of Dr. Ron Paul.
